Work and Family in Appalachia Study

 

Did you grow up in the High Country? Do you still live here?

 

If so, please consider taking part in an interview for this study! The study investigates how young adults living in the area navigate work and intimate relationships.

 

All participants will be paid $40 cash or gift card!

 

Participation requirements include:

  • Between the ages of 25 and 45 years

  • Heterosexual

  • Attended high school in one of the following counties: Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey

  • Currently live in one of the following counties: Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey

  • First generation college graduate or less than a college degree

  • Neither parent completed college

 

Interviews take around 2 hours and can be done either in person or over Zoom. If you are interested in taking part, please complete this short survey. I will contact you shortly to set up your interview.
